Simultaneously with the 48th National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the 20th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne, Dragon City, the largest wholesale and retail trade centre on the island, is organising the “Dragon Carnival” from December 16, 2019, to January 4, 2020.
This year, Dragon City joins the nation’s celebration in an open-air function, which takes place at the Dragon Plaza opposite to Gate 12, and it will host a number of entertaining and traditional activities, including live musical and dance performances, children’s play areas and interactive activities, guaranteeing a joyful experience for all.
The “Dragon Festival” kicks off on the day Bahrain marks its National Day with a set of local and traditional activities, which include folk dances and musical shows, face painting and games for children, in addition to an interactive session with renowned Bahraini social media influencer, fashion icon and blogger Khawla Al Maraghi.
Held daily from 4 PM to 10 PM, the festival continues to the fourth day of the new year, and it will also host an outdoor bazaar that features many outdoor vendors, food trucks, children’s play area, rocking castles and more.
Dragon City is a first of its kind project in the Kingdom of Bahrain and it includes Dragon Mall, Dragon Apartments, the Thai Mart, Dragon Plaza and an allocated area for warehouses. It is home to more than 787 commercial units, effectively making it the largest wholesale and retail trading centre in the Kingdom.
