Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of the leading Islamic Banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has organised a special ceremony to reward Bahrain’s national football team players as a token of recognition of their historic triumph in the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup. The event was held at KHCB premises at Bahrain Financial Harbour in the presence of the bank’s Board member Mr. Hisham Al Rayes and CEO Mr. Sattam Algosaibi as well as executive management members.
On this occasion, Mr. Algosaibi hailed the historic achievement accomplished by the Kingdom’s men, pointing out that this victory was made possible thanks to the support and sponsorship exerted to the sports and youth movement by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and HM’s visions which were translated by HH Shaikh bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth, who sketched well-defined strategies, whose main aim to win gold and nothing less than that.
“The launch of the Era of Gold by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has come to reflect HH’s confidence in the Kingdom’s sportspeople and their capabilities to raise its flag high across all fields and competitions,” Mr. Algosaibi said. “This honourable achievement is a source of pride for each Bahraini and this initiative to recognise such an accomplishment underscores the bank’s commitment towards supporting the sports and youth sector which is one of the most important fields that the bank has been always keen to support,” he further added.
From their side, the national team players valued and thanked the bank’s gesture, underlining KHCB’s prominent role in nurturing the sports and youth movement.
