In line with its constant efforts to support initiatives that aim to develop the banking sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of the leading Islamic banks in Bahrain, has recently participated as a Golden Sponsor in the 26th annual World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC), which is held under the patronage of the Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and in cooperation with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
This prominent event is organised by Middle East Global Advisors (MEGA) for three days at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain, with the participation of more than 1,000 participants that include leaders in the banking and Islamic banking sectors, as well as policymakers, innovators and stakeholders, providing them with the suitable space to widen and diversify their dialogue and discussion on this year’s theme “Mega Trends in Banking and Finance”.
The key topics that will be highlighted during WIBC focuses on several areas, such as the standardisation of Islamic finance, digital transformation, sustainable finance, acquisitions and mergers in the GCC region. A special session will be dedicated to discuss the industry trends with relation to the objective of Islamic sharia, in addition to presentations to be delivered by international experts to address global economic expectations. The discussions will also include Islamic financing opportunities, as well as a special panel for chief executives to discuss the main issues experienced in the market.
