In line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of Bahrain Sports Day in its fourth annual edition, under the slogan “Get. Set. Go”, Seef Mall – Seef District organized a five-day sports event, starting from February 11 to February 15 at the West Wing of the Mall.
In celebration of Bahrain’s Sports Day, Seef Mall – Seef District invited the players of the Bahrain National Football Team to attend the sports activity held at the Mall which included competing in matches on a miniature street football court placed inside the Mall. Among the entertaining activities was also a specially-made dome where customers felt the excitement of scoring goals in a challenging.
Amidst the activity, the Mall took the opportunity of inviting children from the Royal Charity Organization (RCO) to celebrate the day and meet their favorite stars, reaffirming its social commitment.
Reflecting its appreciation of the accomplishment of the Bahrain National Football Team players, who recently achieved the historical win of the 24th edition of the Gulf Cup, the Mall held a special lunch banquet in their honor, with the participation of senior management members of Seef Properties.
On the occasion of joining the nation in celebrating the Bahrain Sports Day, Seef Properties CEO Mr. Ahmed Yusuf commented: “Our active participation to celebrate this important event shows the Mall’s commitment towards supporting national initiatives that are aimed at developing a healthy culture and promoting awareness on the importance of healthy living as well as the role that sports play in improving our lives.”
Mr. Yusuf added: “Bahrain Sports Day this year is special, as it comes after the Bahrain National Football Team won the 24th edition of the Gulf Cup and for the first time since the tournament commenced half a decade ago. Therefore, we are keen on hosting the champions of our national team so they can join the shoppers and visitors of Seef Mall in celebrating this historical victory, which has been achieved by the support and directives of HM the King’s Representatives for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and President of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. We were also keen on inviting children from the Royal Charity Organisation to join us in this national celebration, as we believe in the importance of community partnership and supporting national charity organizations.”
