Diyar Al Muharraq, Bahrain – 18 May, 2020: At first, As part of its solid commitment to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its mall visitors, shoppers and employees, Dragon City, the largest wholesale and retail trade centre on the island, has recently taken a bundle of additional cleaning and disinfection measures, with shops re-opened to welcome back customers.
As recent studies indicated that the cleaning of surfaces is the core of the preventive and precautionary process, Dragon City has embarked on implementing extensive precautionary measures, such as regular comprehensive and intensive cleaning and disinfection of all the facilities in the mall, all of which have been carried out in line with the directives and instructions of the National Task Force to Combat Covid-19 and the Ministry of Health, and in cooperation with the Civil Defence Directorate in the Ministry of Interior.
The facilities include the food court at the mall, chairs, tables, restrooms, door handles and shopping karts, in addition to the routine cleaning processes and installation of hand sanitizers at different parts of the mall.
This initiative has been taken to ensure broad protection and preventative measures are in place to safeguard the wellbeing of all Dragon City’s customers and tenants, although the Mall has not registered any coronavirus case among its customers and tenants since the pandemic outbreak began earlier this year.
Furthermore, Dragon City has recently formed a special team that is concerned with emergencies to monitor the daily health developments in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This move comes to ensure swift response in the event of any developments requiring any immediate and direct intervention in order to take appropriate action in coordination with the relevant authorities.
On the occasion, Mr. Patrick Zheng Shou, General Manager of Chinamex, commented: “At Dragon City, we are keen on supporting all Government procedures and the National Task Force to Combat Covid-19. Conducting these measures at the mall reflects our great concern about the safety of the Bahraini society and comes in line with the national efforts to safeguard it.
